Marechiaro is only 500mt from the terminal where local public transportation will take you either to Venice or to the famous and quaint Islands of Burano, Torcello and Murano (glassmaking industry). The journeyt lasts about 25 minutes, (the right time to admire the beautiful surroundings, the lagoon and the Mose) In Venice you’ll get off right at Saint Mark’s Square.

On the contrary, if you prefer to relax you can spend the day at the nearby beach, Punta Sabbioni, that you can easily reach walking or by bike or even with a free shuttle bus.
